Kacey is a passionate Kennel Hand who joined the CK9 team in 2023. Her journey in the world of working with dogs began around October of the previous year (2022), and she has been enamoured with this line of work ever since.
Before joining CK9, Kacey worked in a dog daycare as a kennel hand, where she lovingly cared for dogs of all breeds. Her responsibilities included walking the dogs, ensuring they received adequate exercise, and providing timely meals. She was also vigilant in observing any signs of discomfort or distress while ensuring the dogs felt happy and at ease in their home away from home.
In her role as a Kennel Hand at CK9, Kacey takes pride in maintaining the kennels to the highest standards of hygiene and always ensuring the well-being of the dogs in her care. She is eager to learn from the trainers during dog walks, gaining valuable insights into various aspects of dog training. Once the essential tasks are complete, Kacey seizes the opportunity to spend quality time with the dogs, engaging in small training sessions and building strong bonds with each canine companion.
For Kacey, working with dogs is a dream come true. She finds immense joy in building a connection with these loyal animals, knowing that the bond formed is mutual – the dog chooses her just as much as she chooses the dog. The diversity of personalities and unique traits exhibited by the dogs at CK9 fascinates her, and she deeply values the opportunity to get to know each dog individually.
Beyond the joy of working with dogs, Kacey cherishes the camaraderie with fellow dog lovers at CK9. Engaging in conversations about their favourite dogs and sharing knowledge about canine behaviour adds to the rewarding experience of working in this field. Every day at CK9 brings new learning experiences, and Kacey often discovers intriguing facts about dogs that she hadn’t known before.
