Senior Dog Trainer

I have been training dogs since 2017, prior to which I had volunteered at various kennels (Police, Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs). My work has predominantly been focused around the training of Police Dogs, although I have also been involved in some dog sports.

Before joining Chaperone, I worked for West Midlands Police. I began working in the kennels and progressed into a training role, training dogs for General Purpose and various Detection capabilities. I also helped manage the breeding and whelping of the dogs and trained puppy walker volunteers.

My role involves training mainly larger breeds of dogs for protection purposes and working with clients to ensure a smooth transition into their home. I also ensure that the health and hygiene of the dogs are of the highest standard while in our care.

I love being able to dedicate time to training the dogs, ensuring they go to clients at their best. I also enjoy the practical nature of the work, particularly being able to provide a suitable limb for the dogs to bite.

I’ve always loved working with animals, from livestock to companion animals growing up, but I really found my passion for training dogs when I joined the Police dogs and witnessed the incredible things they can do. Since then, my passion for training dogs has continued to grow.
