Sarah Addison

Senior Dog Trainer

Sarah has always loved animals and been fascinated by training techniques. At a young age she worked in a riding school with horses, and clients, and was amazed at how such powerful animals could be so gentle and understanding.

Fast forward 20 years to 2012 and after having her four daughters, Sarah bought her first Rhodesian Ridgeback where she once again witnessed the loving nature and devotion of big dogs in the home. Later a cocker spaniel was added to the family which sparked a love for training classes, specifically gundog training, which alongside her work in a dog equipment shop developed her knowledge of dog behaviour, sports and nutrition.

In 2018 Sarah became a fully qualified Dog trainer and began working alongside a local gundog trainer, in the summer of 2022 she set up on her own. However, after a conversation with owner Richard Osbourne she jumped at the chance to be part of the Chaperone team. Sarah can’t wait to develop her knowledge of new techniques further as she works within the team. Specifically learning how to bring puppies onto be fully fledged protection dogs is something she is excited about.

With a background in obedience, pet dogs and gundog training, Sarah’s role within the team will focus on 1-1 training with clients and taking the residentials. Sarah is looking forward to using her experiences to enhance the approaches used by the Chaperone team.
